Brendon Hull

Brendon Hull is a South African artist based in Cape Town. He studied Fine Art and Design at the Vaal Triangle Technikon and has exhibited at the Stewart Gallery in Johannesburg. Through layered abstraction, Brendon explores personal struggles, social tension, and our evolving relationship with animals and identity.

His work often includes unexpected materials - cardboard, cotton swabs, newspaper - as a way to translate invisible emotion into visible texture. The result is a hybrid language of figuration and erosion.

He has exhibited in group exhibitions at the Stewart Gallery in Johanneburg as well as the Snag Gallery in Cape Town.

A kind of emotional cartography for the 21st century.

About the Collection

0xSilence is the first phygital drop from NFA Space — a collection of 10 original mixed media paintings by South African artist Brendon Hull, each paired with its own NFT certificate. This is where textured abstraction meets blockchain provenance. You don’t just collect a token — you claim a physical story.

Hull’s expressive technique blurs the boundary between human form and emotional collapse. His work is raw, scarred, and layered — built from found materials, aggressive brushwork, and unsettling fragments of text. These figures are not whole. They are distorted, decomposed, and disarmed - reflecting our own fractured perception of identity, memory, and selfhood.

Each piece in 0xSilence is a 1/1 phygital work — a real-world painting sealed with a digital certificate on-chain. This is more than an art drop. It’s a silent rebellion. A protest in texture. An invitation to own what others ignore.
