Sproet Cornelis born in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. He pursued a career as a sailor, but due to family circumstances he was forced to give it up. He then studied at the Graphic School in Amsterdam, served in the army, and then became an industrial photographer.

He lived and worked in France, Italy and Spain and traveled to many countries for his work.

In the last years of his working life he became a professional truck driver.

After his retirement, he and his wife decided to settle in the Philippines.

Now he has more time to actively pursue his true artistic love, drawing and coloring his dreams.

Since he worked as a photographer for many years, he sometimes uses his photographs as examples for his work.
