Peter evokes a world that is about to disappear, yet captures the daily habits and seasonal rituals of wildlife in a gentle, unpretentious style.
Peter also paints landscapes, heritage, and people in his own unique style. This world-renowned watercolor and acrylic artist has a dedicated following of collectors such as Red Robinson of KVOS-12 TV and CISL-650 radio, and many other collectors who have followed Peter's show across North America, collecting various pieces.
Over 70,000 pieces of art created and produced by Peter have been sold. Collectors in North America have purchased many pieces, however, Japan has been a frequent buyer of Peter's work. Pieces have been shipped to Hawaii, the Northwest Territories, and England. The Ottawa Department of Foreign Affairs has selected Peter's work for its permanent collection, as well as numerous private collectors who have his work in their homes. KVOS TV, CBC TV, Roger’s Cable and Shaw Cable have all featured Peter’s exquisite work in interviews and documentaries. Roger Boulet, co-author of the book “Group of Seven,” mounted an exhibition of Peter’s work alongside Group of Seven in the late 70s in Vancouver, at the Keanlyside Gallery.
In 1999, the Delta Arts Council nominated Peter for the Bronfman Prize in Canada. This award is the highest honor for achievement in his field of art in Canada. The nomination itself is a huge success.
